I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
